I will have to tell you, working on building up two companies is complicated. That is not the disappointing part. The disappointment comes on the resources, friends and options that I thought I would be able to lean on that I didn't get any support from ant that it didn't work out the.way I thought it would at all. So here is my tip to anyone who is thinking about starting a business and assuming that friends, family and close associates are going to be there to support you just because they want to see you succeed, believe in you and like what you are selling, toting, or producing...DON"T BELIEVE THE HYPE! Bates, Buffet, Clinton, Winfrey, Simmons, all of these infamously famous people did not get that way based on support from family and friends. They reached out to complete strangers and presented the same strong business plan or idea and was supported. That support allowed them to grow and expand and now look at them.
My mission is not to be as rich, I only plan to be sure my bills are paid and use the rest to make real changes in my community and the lives of my children. But I know now that it won't happen within my inner circle. So save yourself some time. Build your pitch and take it else where - there is a stranger out there waiting to hear from you too.
